“I am not what has happened to me. I am what I chose to become.”

Carl Jung

I was inspired to train and work as a counsellor and psychotherapist after my own experience of receiving counselling helped me at a key time in my life.

I trained at CCPE (The Centre for Counselling and Psychotherapy Education) and became a qualified Transpersonal Integrative Psychotherapist and Counsellor.

During this time, I developed a special interest in the experience of uprooted childhoods and their effect on identity and the ability to feel trust. Such experiences can be traumatic and create challenges in adult life. As a result, I have worked with many clients who have suffered adverse childhood experiences, complex trauma and PTSD

In addition, I have experience working with clients in life transitions. For example, supporting professional people in demanding jobs who are facing life or career crises or change. I frequently work with clients who suffer from anxiety-related issues, depression & low self-acceptance around work and relationships. I have also worked with older adults experiencing the challenge of change in later life.

I follow the latest international research & knowledge so I can provide well-informed, reliable & practicable guidance to clients, where appropriate. I engage in continued professional development to grow personally and expand my skill set for the benefit of my clients. I am also trained in EMDR therapy (The EMDR Academy). I work as an clinic assessor and a supervisor at CCPE as well as in private practice.
